Daemon X Machina, the third-person mech shooter from developer Marvelous, is coming to Windows PC later this month. Previously released on Nintendo Switch (and published by Nintendo there), the PC port will drop on Steam on Feb. 13, published by Xseed.
Daemon X Machina was produced by Kenichiro Tsukuda, a veteran of FromSoftware’s Armored Core series, and features mech designs from Shoji Kawamori, also an Armored Core vet. Daemon X Machina’s Arsenal mech suits let players fly a custom character around a variety of cityscapes, each containing multiple missions, including boss fights. Players can salvage new equipment from enemies, including laser swords and explosive artillery.
The game features online competitive battles in 1v1 and 2v2 versus modes, as well as four-player co-op.
The PC version of Daemon X Machina is priced at $59.99, with a 20% pre-order discount bringing that down to $47.99. The Steam version will include “all content updates including new Arsenal gear, cosmetic options, Colossal Immortal battles, and a co-op Exploration Mission mode,” but will not include some licensed add-on content. The Switch version featured a tie-in with CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in the form of character skins based on Geralt and Ciri.
