Harena Data, an esports community aggregator, announced the beginning of its After School Gaming Clubs program, a regional program with the aim of promoting student engagement through digital media while providing opportunities to form new friendships through competitive gaming.
Available to students between the ages of 7 and 17, Harena’s virtual program will reconnect students that used to come with face-to-face after school programs such as book clubs, sports, chess, and other programs. Harena’s after school programs will take place on the organization’s COPPA-compliant, Safe Harbor-certified platform and include coaches and guides that have gone through federal background checks and have SafeSport certification and training.
Along with the after school activities, the clubs will offer an array of daily competitions including competitive matches and tournaments. Additionally, students will see special events and spring break programming including educational adventure camps, regional matches, tournaments, leagues, and prize competitions.
And to stay engaged, Parents may link a parental account to their child’s to stay updated on all the activities.
The After School Gaming Clubs will run five days a week, Monday to Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time. Interested parents and students can sign up through their local state soccer association’s website.
